A bridge, a race, and something new

I have run the Sydney Lanier Bridge over the past weekend. It was fun and as always the view is breath taking. I saw some friends and had a good run. I have to be honest about the race... I did not do any running before. I have since ran a little, but no where I need to be. It is also doubtful that I will make the Jacksonville bridge run this year.

However, there is a good sign in all this I have made a new friend and his name is Warren. Now Warren and I are not best friends yet, but we will be. He is part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes out of Savannah and they are wanting to expand south. Well after talking to him I am going to start doing "brick workouts" on Jekyll. Now this is super exciting for me.

I have never done a brick workout and I don't have a bicycle, but there is always Craig's List for that. I was also impressed by this nice guy. He is currently training for his first Iron-man and that is impressive. I am looking forward to taking my training to the next level and I think this might just be the way to do that. So anyone wanting to join me on March 10th on Jekyll you will get some great training and a chance to meet some nice people who are into fitness to boot.
